Tanks are found on the front lines of armed conflicts around the world. The German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) possess two state-of-the-art models: the Puma infantry fighting vehicle and the Leopard main battle tank. In a crisis, the Bundeswehr's mechanized infantry are at the forefront of the fight with the Puma infantry fighting vehicle. The combat troops can engage the battle at any time, even outside the tank. The Leopard main battle tank fights at greater distances, individually, in platoons of four, or in conjunction with the infantry fighting vehicle. Training to become a mechanized infantryman demands everything from the soldiers.
